Character Coin Award

Monday, February 5, 2024 during the IAAM "C" Conference Swim Championships at Loyola University

Athletic Director and Head Swim Coach at St. Timothy's School, Barbara Beidler, awarded Indian Creek swimmer Maia Riley, sophomore, a Character Coin in Monday's IAAM C Conference Swimming Championship.  

Coach Beidler said, "I was so moved by Maia's sportsmanship and character in competition that I had to award her this coin.  She competed against my swimmer in the 200 IM and when the race concluded and my swimmer was having trouble exiting the pool, Maia, right away without pausing or missing a beat, ran over to her lane to help her safely get out of the water.  It was such a wonderful and kind gesture to witness and truly reminded me why this conference and these girls are so special!!"

Way to go, Maia!!
