Position: Shortstop/Pitcher

About Erin: The precocious freshman standout has been helping the Cougars in many ways lately, primarily at the plate and in the circle. Erin struck out 12 and made five putouts, accounting directly for 17 of the 21 outs in a 6-4 victory over Friends while also stroking three hits. In a 13-4 setback to C Conference-leading Annapolis Area Christian School, Erin allowed one run in five innings of relief and belted a two-run homer. The right-hander also threw a complete game with eight strikeouts in a 14-6 triumph over Beth Tfiloh.

Erin’s accomplishments are even more impressive considering that OLMC coach Leon Badders converted her into a pitcher this season.

“She is getting stronger and stronger every game,” Badders said. “I can’t wait to see how good she’ll be as a senior. And she’s just as good as a shortstop.”

The coach also praised Erin for her leadership.

“She has the ability to get everyone motivated,” Badders added. “She wants everyone to be all in.”
