St. Paul's School for Girls captures 4th consecutive badminton title -

St. Paul's School for Girls Edge out Bryn Mawr School in the 2024 Badminton Championships

The 2024 IAAM Badminton Championship Tournament concluded Friday as St. Paul’s School for Girls earned a 4th consecutive Team Championship with an overall score of 14 points. Bryn Mawr netted the runner-up finish with a team score of 12 points. 

The three day event was hosted at Roland Park Country School and brought together a pool of ten schools as bracket play narrowed the field each afternoon.

Thirty players entered the tournament for the Singles competition as Bruna Lu of Garrison Forest edged out Izzy Burger of St. Paul’s School for Girls to take the Singles title.

In Doubles play, 40 duos partnered up throughout the event with the Doubles crown ultimately going to Kate Lanahan and Alyssa Bartholomay of St. Paul’s School for Girls. 

Maryvale Prep’s Maddy Wnek and Hope Stuehler gave a strong effort in the championship Doubles round finishing in the runner-up slot.
