About Daryn:  

Daryn was her usual prolific self for the Quakers in the C Conference championship game on Saturday afternoon at Calvert Hall. The sophomore forward produced several breakaway opportunities against Catholic High and finished two of them to end the season with a whopping 34 goals. She also had an assist in the 3-0 victory.

Daryn said that she had to “keep her cool” on breakaways because she “messed up”on the initial opportunity.

“The second time, I guess I learned my lesson and relaxed on the ball,” she said. “On the second goal, I did have a little pressure toward the back, but I did take my time and realize what was happening. And I put it in the back of the net.”

As for taking full credit for the championship, Daryn dismissed that out of hand.

“A lot of people say that I did it,” she said. “But I think we did it as a team.”
