About Ava:  

Ava finished first in the 500 freestyle and in the 100 breaststroke while also helping the 200 and 400 medley relay squads to finish first in a 98.5-71.5 win over defending A Conference champion Bryn Mawr last week.

"Ava is one of those great-to-have, solid swimmers,” Maryvale co-coach Maria O’Brien said. “She can handle any event that we throw her way with grace and confidence. She gives it her all in every race and we can always rely on her to swim her best no matter what the event."

“Ava brings energy and excitement to the team,” fellow coach Jared Welsh said. “Every time you watch her race you know something special is about to happen. We can count on her to swim the events needed for the team to be successful."
